This smoothie bowl is one of my favourite Bali combinations.
The look of it alone is so vibrant and fresh, and the taste is delicious. Dragon fruit on its own doesn’t have a huge amount of flavour. Yet it pairs well with other fruit, as well as lime or coconut or vanilla or also cacao. I always like to use frozen banana for texture and temperature. I add the avocado for extra creaminess also.
You can top your smoothie bowl with whatever you like – it’s a great way to not only make the bowl even more beautiful, but to also add extra nutrients and sustenance to the meal.
For an additional protein hit you could also add protein powder to the smoothie mix.
- 2 large frozen bananas chopped
- ¼ a ripe dragonfruit chopped
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- ¼ avocado
- 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
- 1 passionfruit
- 1 teaspoon maca powder
The toppings are completely up to you. I used:
- Natural granola
- Flaked almonds
- Pumpkin seeds
Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy
Pour into a bowl and add your desired toppings!
